Webquest
of the Cold War - The Cold War was a period of tension between the
United States and the Soviet Union that lasted from 1947-1990. It was not a
direct military confrontation, but did include proxy wars such as Korea and
Vietnam. There were also standoffs that brought the two sides close to war
such as the Berlin Crisis and Cuban Missile Crisis. In this project students
will work in cooperative groups to develop a PowerPoint presentation on a
Cold War topic such as The Korean War, The Vietnam War, The Bay of Pigs
invasion, The Cuban Missile Crisis, The Berlin Wall, The Berlin Airlift, The
space race, and The arms race.
